摘要 以太网无源光网络(EPON)以其树形拓扑结构和高达1 Gbit/s的带宽特性而非常适合应用于广播和组播业务(例如IPTV)。文章主要探讨组播业务在EPON中开展的技术可行性,并从安全性和可维护性考虑,对现有的方案进行改进,加入组播源控制和用户权限控制,从而提高了组播控制的精度。同时给出了扩展运行、管理和维护(OAM)协议的设计方案,根据不同的控制方式,提出了动态和静态配置的控制策略,并进行了实验验证。 EPON is very suitable for broadcasting and multicasting services, such as IPTV, thanks to its tree--shaped topological structure and up to 1Gbps bandwidth. This paper focuses on the technological feasibility of offering multicasting services over EPON and makes improvement over the existing scheme by introducing multicasting source control and user authority control from considerations of system security and maintainability, thus improving the efficiency and precision of multicasting con trol. At the same time, it gives an extended OAM protocol design scheme and presents the control strategies for dynamic and static assignment in accordance with different control patterns, which is verified in experiments.
