隐喻的跨文化研究是当代隐喻学最具有价值和前景意义的研究领域,因此有必要在隐喻学的学科地位业已确立的基础上,提出建立隐喻文化学的问题。隐喻文化学的建立不仅具有当代隐喻学的雄厚的理论基础,而且积累了丰富的历史的和现实的可资利用、整合的研究资源。隐喻文化学的建立,不仅可以为考察研究人类的不同文化形态提供一种更具本源性的理论视角和一扇更为宽阔的理论窗口,而且有助于理解人类文化的整体性、系统性。

The cross - cultural study of metaphor is the most valuable and significant research field of contemporary metaphorology. Therefore, there should be a call to construct a subject, namely, metaphor culturalology on the basis of the mature metaphorology, which has profound theoretical foundation. And contemporary metaphorology has accumulated abundant history and practical, available and integrated research resources. The construction of metaphor culturalology will not only provide a theoretical perspective of origin to study the various cultural form of mankind, but also help to understand the wholeness and systemic character of culture of mankind.
