摘要
妈祖本是一个巫女,死后成神,这种由巫到神的嬗变,推动了妈祖神灵信仰的最初兴起。妈祖由巫到神嬗变的实现,首先源于中国古老的巫觋信仰,其次得力于宋代福建地域社会浓郁的巫风。在中国古代民间信仰中,妈祖由巫到神的嬗变并非个案,而是一种文化现象。
Mazu,originally a witch,turned into an immortal after death.This transmutation developed into a belief of Mazu.The transmutation of Mazu was due,firstly to the Chinese ancient witchcraft belief;secondly to the strong witchcraft climate among the locals in Fujian during the Song Dynasty.The transmutation of Mazu from a Witch to an Immortal was not an exclusive case,but a kind of cultural phenomenon among ancient Chinese folk beliefs.
