Design and Implementation of Embedded Realtime Video Encoder for H.264 Standard

摘要 基于高速定点DSP处理器TMS320DM642,设计并实现了一款嵌入式实时H.264视频编码器,提出了局部自适应预测运动估计算法.采用C64xCPU的软件优化技术,解决了视频编码的实时性问题.实验结果表明,H.264编码器对分辨率为320×288YUV格式视频信号的编码速率达到每秒13帧以上,且具有极低的码流速率和较高的图像编码质量. Based on high performance fixed-point digital signal processor TMS320DM642 and H.264 standard, an embedded real-time video encoder is proposed and implemented, which brings out an adaptive predict arithmetic for motion estimation. The soft optimization technology of C64x CPU is adopted, and real time problems of the H.264 encoder are resolved. The experiments results show that H.264 video eneoder is able to encode the 320 x 288YUV format video signal, the frame rate is more than 13 frames per second, the data rate of the eneoder's out stream is very low, and the encoding quality of video is very high.
