随着我国经济的持续快速发展，铁路、公路等基础设施进入大规模建设阶段，我国有三分之二的国土地处山区或丘陵地区，并且修建的标准也越来越高，这必然会产生大量的边坡。而工程防护的另一个突出缺点就是对自然环境的影响很大，破坏了生态平衡。因此，能够在一定程度上恢复公路建设过程中破坏的生态环境、保持生态平衡的植被护坡工程技术受到关注。

With China＇s sustained and rapid economic development, railways, roads and other infrastructure construction has entered the large-scale construction stage. While two-thirds of China＇s territory is mountainous or hilly areas and the construction standards become higher, it＇ s bound to generate lots of slope. Moreover, another big shortcomings is that the engineering protection has quiet an effect on the natural environment and breaks the ecological balance. Therefore, it is of concern that the eco-engineering which can restore the damaged ecological environment and maintain the ecological balance to a certain extent.
