This article discusses the syntactic properties and features of English imperative ＂don＇t＂ from the perspective of Minimalist Program, claiming that the syntactic operations of English negative imperatives （NI） follow the same rules and principles as in other types of syntactic structures. The do in NI is the one that is inserted as the ＂last resort＂. The do in T and the n＇t in Neg form the negative compound, and the subject of the NI lies in the spec-position of a functional head standing after don＇t.
