Some Thoughts on How to Enrich the Spiritual and Cultural Life in Rural Areas

党的十五届三中全会提出要按照"生产发展、生活宽裕、乡风文明、村容整洁、管理民主"20字方针建设社会主义新农村。乡风文明是建设社会主义新农村的重要基础。党中央高度重视农村的精神文明建设。农村农民的精神文化生活是农村精神文明建设的重要组成部分。农村精神文化生活建设滞后、生活单调贫乏、组织不够完善以及各种落后思想和文化的侵蚀等,是亟待突破的难点。加强基层党组织建设、提高农村人口素质、有组织的开展丰富多彩的活动,是丰富农村精神文化生活的根本途径。

The Third Plenary Session of the 15th Party proposed in accordance with ＂the development of production,well-off life,civilized rural wind,clean village,democratic management ＂,the 20-character principle of building a new socialist countryside.Rural civilization is an important foundation during the building of newsocilist countryside.The CPC Central Party attaches great importance to the building of spiritual civilization in rural areas.Rural farmers＇ spiritual and cultural life is an important aspect of spiritual civilization.In this article,the author puts forward some suggestions on howto enrich the spiritual and cultural life in rural areas to be aimed at some problems,such as the overall backward construction of spiritual and cultural life,monotomous life,imperfect organizations,as well as the erosion affacted by the backward ideology and culture.
