摘要
《占有》是英国学院派作家拜厄特将自己对20世纪文学理论的狂欢和衰退、理论与创作之争的观察思考融入其中的一部批评元小说。小说既为众多理论流派提供了众声狂欢的场合,又让各种理论相互观照、对比,作者借之揭示了理论生发意义的主观性、偶然性和意识形态性,以及过度理论化带来的当代学者人性异化、认知萎缩、情感枯竭的现象。小说也呈现了理论经过狂欢之后必然进入反思这样一种趋势。
Possession is a metacritical work in which the academic novelist A. S. Byatt presents her reflections on the carnival and decline of literary theories and on the competition between literary theories and creativity. While granting carnival occasions to various theories, the author compares these theories and intends to lay bare the subjectivity theories. In addition, contemporary scholars＇ dehumanization, lack of cognition power and emotional exhaustion caused by over-intellectualization are also explored. Furthermore, the tendency of reflection after the carnival of theories is also predicted.
