三十年来海外学者视野下的当代中国国家性及其争论述评

A Literature Review on The Role of Contemporary Chinese State and Its Debate for Thirty Years:Oversea perspective

有关中国当代国家性的讨论,一直是当代海外中国研究学者关注的重要话题。由于经济改革转型所引发的国家转型的复杂性和多面性,海外当代中国研究学者们对改革开放后中国的国家特征有着不同的理解和看法,也引发了一些学术争论。本文运用文献分析的研究方法,将海外学者对当代中国国家定位的观点整理成国家能力、政府—市场以及国家—社会三个维度,并在每个维度内部对已有文献中的观点进行分类归纳,力图展现有关该论题的整个研究图式。此外,结合文献梳理的成果,本文作者也提出了有关当代中国国家定位的一些思考。

The discussion on Chinese modern statehood is a popular issue among oversea contemporary China experts. Considering China's state transition's complexity and multi-dimension caused by its economic reform,oversea scholars in contemporary China study have their own understandings and arguments for the role and nature of Chinese current state which trigger a series of academic debates. This paper employs literature analysis method and categorizes their arguments into three dimensions:state capacity,state-market and state-society. Existing literatures are also sorted within each dimension to display its whole picture in this research field. Additionally,this paper also lays out the author's arguments for this research topic in terms of abovementioned literature review.
