As a renowned Chinese seholar,Lin Yutang shuttled between Chinese and Western language and culture, and he made outstanding contribution to translation study and aesthetic study. Lin Yutang＇ s version of Six Chapters of a Floating Life was successful on reproducing the original aesthetic effect in both form and content truly. The version confirmed Lin Yutang＇ s requirement of aesthetics and presented his artistic achievements in the translation.
