摘要
设计了一种高增益、宽带限幅放大器,最大速率为1.25Gb/s。限幅放大器包括多级放大级、输出驱动级、失调消除和信号检测电路,提供固定的正参考发射机耦合逻辑(PECL)输出电平,且可通过编程设定信号丢失(LOS)指示。当输入信号降低到设定门限时关闭输出以达到静噪之目的。放大器采用3.3V单一电源,采用TSMC0.35μmBiCMOS工艺设计版图,放大器版图面积为1.3mm×1.1mm。测试结果显示,在3.3V电源下具有超过52dB的动态范围,功耗仅60mW。
A high-gain and wide-bandwidth limiting amplifier with a maximum data rate 1.25 Gb/s for Gigabit Ethernet,consisting of a multistage amplifier,an output driver,an offset cancellation circuit and a signal-detection circuit,is designed.The amplifier provides constant positive-referenced emitter-coupled logic(PECL)output voltages and features a programmable loss-of-signal(LOS)indication and a squelch function that mutes the data output signal when the input voltage falls below the programmable threshold.It is implemented with TSMC 0.35 μm BiC-MOS technology and the active area of this limiting amplifier is 1.3 mm×1.1 mm. At a single 3.3 V supply voltage, measurement results demonstrate the input dynamic range larger than 52 dB and only 60 mW power consumes.
