From the description and the restriction of Wang Bi, we can see that "nothingness" can not be named, and has non-material nature, with the absolute, single and boundless characteristics, which indicate that "nothingness" at thought of Wang Bi's philosophy is entirely a metaphysical category. It can be the ontology of all things. But this metaphysical "nothingness" as the Ontology just means: it is the reason of all "existence", rather than the reason of all "being". "Nothingness" is just the causes and conditions that things can arise. Just in this sense, Wang Bi's "'nothingness' as ontology of all things" at the same time is "used 'nothingness' to do". It shows an ontology structure of metaphysical thinking set up by Wang Bi-the ontology and the role of ontology are not-separated.
