Colleges and universities are influential places to cultivate talents. Their democracy and openness are bound to affect the democratic consciousness of students.Recently, the democratic election of the student union chairman in SUN YAT-SEN University has pushed the democratization of institutions of higher learning into the spotlight again. Through the in-depth analysis on this case, the author presents a program of democratic elections, which will serve great practical significance on the development of the democratic system in colleges and universities.
