摘要
对比电子学和光子学的发展路线图,提出光子学及其2个发展阶段——微光子学和纳光子学的定义,并介绍它们的主要研究内容。指出微光子技术主要是"以电控光"的技术,其关键器件是半导体激光器;纳光子技术主要是"以光控光"的技术,其关键器件是全光开关。
The photonics has two developing phases: microphotonics and nanophotonics. The definitions of them are point out, and their contents are introduced. The key devices for microphotonics are semiconductor lasers, which are controlling photons with electrons; the key devices for nanophotonics are all-optical switches, which are controlling photons with photons.
