The Historical Contribution of HouXian,a Good Messenger between Han and Tibetan People in Ming Dynasty

侯显,明朝初期著名藏族宦官,外交和平使者,他的一生因出使而闻名。在将近二十五年的时间里,他四次率领舰队远航西洋(其中两次是同郑和一起下西洋),先后访问了东南亚十五个国家。三次进入西藏,了解藏区实际情况,传达、推行明朝对藏区的管理措施,并迎请"大宝法王"和"大慈法王"等进京晋见明成祖。侯显一生所取得的成就是辉煌的,其历史影响也是深远的。

HouXian, a Tibetan eunuch at the beginning of Ming Dynasty, the diplomatic peaceful messengor, was famous for going abroad on a diplomatic mission. He visited 15 the countries in Southeast Asia successively with his fleet for four times （two times with Zheng He） within the 25 years. Three times he visited Tibet,for understanding the situation in Tibet, transmiting and carrying out the management measure of Ming Dynasty to Tibet, and invited ＂the Great Treasure Dharma King＂ and ＂the Greatly Kind Dharma King＂ and so on to the capital to see Chengzu of Ming. Hou Xian＇ s achievement is magnificent. Its historical influence is also profound.
