My Antonia,one of the masterpieces of the 20th century American writer,Willa Cather,is one of the most vivid and authentic novels that portrays the life in the middle-west prairie of America.This paper will apply Charlene Spretnak s theory of ecological postmodernism to analyze the characters and themes of this novel,then perceive the ecological conception in it to evoke people s consciousness of ecological responsibility.
