英汉语中“尖”的概念隐喻对比研究

摘要 触觉是人类对客观世界感知和理解最重要的方式之一,它在构建我们的抽象概念过程中起着举足轻重的作用。"尖"的概念不仅能投射到"智能、情感、态度"方面,还能投射到视觉、听觉、嗅觉及味觉域;这一发现从一个方面说明了Sweetser对触觉隐喻投射的归纳不够准确、全面;与英语民族相比,汉民族更充分地利用"尖"这一具体概念来理解并扩展出更多的抽象概念。 Touch is one of the most important ways for human beings to experience and to understand the world. It plays a crit- ical role in the process of constructing our abstract concepts. It is discovered that the metaphorical scope of "sharp" covers not only the conceptual domains of emotion, intellect and attitude, etc. but also the domains of vision, heating, smell and taste. These findings show that Sweetser' s generalizations about the conceptual metaphor of touch in English are neither accurate nor complete. Compared with the English, the Chinese employ more concrete concepts of "sharp" in understanding abstract concepts.
