Female Education——a series of studies on oral history of Huizhou female in the early 20th century III

20世纪前半期,伴随着中国社会转型的变革,中国教育经历了从传统向现代的蜕变,这一时期的徽州女子教育也同样经历了这一变化。传统的私塾教育方式逐渐消亡,女子新式教育发展迅速,女子受教育人数增加,女子教育体系基本建立,但与男子教育相比总体发展仍比较缓慢。

Along with the social changes in the first half of the 20th century, education in China experienced a transformation from tradition to modernization. And female education in Huizhou changed accordingly. The traditional private education faded away gradually, and the new mode of education developed rapidly. Furthermore, the population of educated females increased. On the whole, the female education system has been established, but it developed relatively slowly compared with male education.
