The hydrofoil blade mixer is extremely suitable for the vertical shaft mechanical flocculation tank to be the flocculation mixer, and its flocculating effect is as effective as traditional paddle mixer. Based on the introduction of flocculation mixer parameters, the selection of design type of hydrofoil tank mixer was discussed, the computation and calculating process of flow coefficient method were demonstrated, some problems in design were analyzed, and two typical application examples were introduced.
