An introduction was made on the design of relay protection for the electrical equipment of Xiafu Hydraulic Complex such as generator, transformer and transmission line etc., including the selection of final scheme after comparison between alternatives, and the used methods. The author also presents the configuration of relay protection cubicle and the communication mode with computer supervision and control system.
