《花凋》与《善良的乡下人》“女畸人”创作之平行研究

Comparison between Withered Flowers and Good Country People

依据文化批评,对《花凋》与《善良的乡下人》进行平行研究,分析中外两位刻画"畸人"的女作家在女畸人创作寓意和创作手法上的异同。通过象征主义手法,张爱玲对丑陋身体的刻画揭示了女性活着的困境和无奈,批判的是男权社会对女性的摧残;奥康纳对身体丑陋的意象书写更像是宗教启示录,揭示的是丑陋的人性本身,借以探索现代社会人性迷失的疗救之途。

Based on cultural criticism, this paper attempts to make a comparison between two female deformed characters created in Withered Flowers and Good Country People by analyzing the themes and the artistic techniques in the creation of the deformed characters. It points out that Miss Zhang is criticizing the unfair patriarchal society where women are subordinate, depressive and helpless while O＇Connor,whose novel is more like a religious fable,is taking pains to emphasize the importance of religious belief by revealing sins in human beings who are lost in this extremely materialistic world.
