Clinical Analysis of Getting Rid of Maxillofacial Mental Foreign Bodies (Lead Pills) in 48 Patients

目的探讨颌面部铅弹异物治疗的方法及效果。方法对４８例颌面部铅弹异物处理的疗效进行综合分析。结果４８例颌面部铅弹异物已全部取出，１１例术后出现并发症，均发生于眶部。结论铅弹存留体内易发生中毒，应及早取出。

Aim To analyze the effect of getting the maxillofacial mental foreign bodies out of the patients. Methods The data about forty eight patients with maxillofacial mental foreign bodies (lead pills) were investigated and analyzed. Results The mental foreign bodies were removed out of the 48 patients and orbital complications were present after operation in 11 patients. Conclusion Lead pills must be removed off in the early period because the patients may be induced into lead poison. It is very important to locate the foreign body before operation and then to choose surgical procedure.
