It was presented in this article firstly the development process of Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA)in France,then given and analyzed the main contents and requirement of EIA report by means of a case studied,at last shown and discussed the control of EIA report.EIA in France has its own characteristics,and EIA report covers a broad range.The compilation of non-technical summary report,the stress on the landscape assessment and the conducting of public investigation are the outstanding characteristics.
