The electrode regulation system of EAF is the heart equipment for the furnace melting operation. It has a great influence on the working efficiency, electtric energy and electric electrode consumption of the EAF, as well as the power input from the transformer to the EAF. The regulator＇ s working principle and design criterion are introduced. Finally, authors quote the digital electrode regulation system and the EAFTM type intelligent electric arc furnace developing by Techint-Tagliaferry companies.
