The traditional way for anti-flashing monitoring of transmission device is time-consuming, energy-consuming and un- dependable, while online monitoring device for high voltage insulator leakage current can fill these gaps. The principle of the device and its operation in Guangxi Power Grid are introduced and explained in detail, and monitoring data are analyzed. The device can get the real pollution status of insulator which can provide reference for insulator＇s state cleaning, thus prevent and reduce line aeddants and promote line operation and management level.
