Application of LINUX-based Cluster Services Technology in the Campus Network

This paper describes a method to create clusters which relies on the LINUX platform, using MPICH to achieve a parallel computing environment. It also explores the required conditions and cluster-related software and hardware configuration, and conducts a feasibility test. The results show that it is simpler and cheaper than using a dedicated cluster software or hardware.
