Pollution control of pig farming industry：a top priority of aquatic environment protection in limnological region

养猪业污染是湖区水质恶化的主要原因之一。其排放的废水具有机物浓度高、悬浮物多、氨氮和磷含量高，含有多种抗生素和大量重金属等特点。为保护湖区水环境，需实施畜禽清洁清洁生产机制，加强特殊污染物的控制，提高综合治理效率。要加强平台建设，形成由政府相关部门进行政策引导、公共财政加大投资和补贴力度、高等院校和科研院所提供科技和人才支撑、养殖企业积极参与的良好局面。

Pollution of pig farming industry is one of the main reasons of water quality degradation in limnological regions. The discharged waste of pig farming industry contains highly concentrated organic matter, excessive suspended solids, large content of ammonia nitrogen and phosphorus, different kinds of antibiotics and high concentrations of heavy metals. To protect the water quality in limnological re- gion, several key problems should be solved： implementing the cleaner production mechanism of live- stock and poultry industry, strengthening the antibiotics and heavy metals removal, and improving com- prehensive treatment efficiency. And efforts have to be made to form a working mechanism with policy guidance of government departments, intensified investment and subsidy of public finance, technical support of universities and research institutes, and active participation of pig farming enterprises.
