The Artistic Features and Classification of Folk Narrative Poems

民间长诗分民间叙事长诗和民间抒情长诗。我国民间叙事长诗具有歌颂反抗斗争,描写爱情、悲剧;叙述曲折、抒发浓烈;塑人物形象,采用诗歌表现方法等艺术特征。一部分民间抒情长诗主要抒发世俗生活中的爱恨情仇、悲欢离合的情感,还有相当一部分是民间婚丧、生产习俗、宗教活动中的情感抒发,是民间礼仪活动的组成部分。

Folk poems fall into the categories of folk narrative poems and folk lyric poems. Chinese folk narrative poems take themes of struggle against oppression and love with rich plots in depicting characters by the artistic features represented in poetry. While folk lyric poems mainly express love and hate, joys and sorrows in secular life, and a considerable number of them are the emotional expressions of civil weddings and funerals, production practices and religious activities.
