元代翰林国史院是上层文人雅士聚集之地。众多诗词魁首在翰苑供职期间,留下了大量华采篇章。其中有大量诗篇描写了翰林国史院及他们供职翰林国史院的情思意兴。汉、蒙及其他少数民族儒士一起作画鉴画,题诗和诗,填词唱曲,交流感情,敞诉情怀,其文化活动在促进各民族文士间的团结和友谊方面发挥了重要作用。

In the Yuan Dynasty, the Imperial Academy of National History was the place where refined scholars got together. Many outstanding poets created a number of excellent poems, among which there are many that depict the Academy and their emotions and interests when they worked there. Confucian scholars, from Han, Meng and other minority nationalities, drew, painted and appreciated pictures, composed and replied poems, composed and sang the ci to given tunes, exchanged their emotions. All those cultural activities played an important role in promoting the unity and friendship of the men of letters from various nationalities.
