The use of virtual machine in the PC with Windows XP was discussioned.The Solaris operation system and Ovation DCS software were installed,and the simulation process of engineer workstation was realized.The result provides the foundation for the thermotechnical engineers,in whose power plant the Ovation for Solaris system was adopted,to establish simulation training platform themselves.
