英汉复合词的内部语义关系研究

A Study of Internal Semantic Relationship of English and Chinese Compound Words

论文首先介绍复合词的定义和分类;其次逐步分析汉语复合词和英语复合词的内部语义关系;最后通过对比英汉复合词的内部语义关系,得出结论:汉语复合词的内部关系除了语义特征,还有逻辑因素;英语复合词的内部关系除了语义特征,更多的是句法关系。究其原因,汉语是语义型语言,造词形式凸显意合原则;而英语则是形态型语言,更多地采用形合的造词方式。

The paper first introduces the definition and classification of compound words. Secondly it analyses the internal semantic relations of Chinese and English compound words step by step.Finally by comparing the internal semantic relations between Chinese and English compound words,it comes to an conclusion.That is,for Chinese compound words,the internal semantic relations include semantic features and logic factors.But for English compound words,the internal semantic relations refer to syntactic relations,in addition to the semantic features.The reason is Chinese is a semantic-based language and the form of words building highlights the principle of parataxis.But English is a form-based language and makes more use of hypotaxis to build words.
