The mechanism to inspect and evaluate leading cadres at colleges and universities is analyzed from philosophy perspective. It is held that leading cadres at colleges and universities must be inspected in the conception of historical materialism ,be anaIyzed in the conception of widespread contact, and be evaluated by the method of dialectical thinking.
