英语学习者词汇知识与不同类型英语阅读任务的相关性研究 被引量:1

A Study of the Correlation Between Vocabulary Knowledge and Different Reading Tasks in CET-4 Exam

摘要 以西南大学2007级102名非英语专业学习者为调查对象,以修订后的词汇等级测试问卷、词汇关联测试问卷和CET-4仿真题为调查工具,利用SPSS13.0对数据进行描述性分析和相关分析,探讨英语学习者的词汇知识与不同类型英语阅读任务之间的相关关系。结果表明:受试的词汇广度知识和词汇深度知识之间存在显著相关关系(r=0.260*);受试的词汇广度知识与CET-4快速阅读成绩和仔细阅读成绩相关都显著(r1=0.317**;r2=0.231*);但是受试的词汇深度知识与CET-4快速阅读成绩和仔细阅读成绩相关不显著。这一研究结果显示了词汇广度知识的重要性,对大学英语词汇教学有积极的指导意义。 This study aimed to investigate the correlation between English vocabulary knowledge and fast reading and in-depth reading with the implementation of two measure instruments, namely, Vocabulary Levels Test (Schimitt, Schimitt & Clapham,2001) and Word Associate Test(Read, 1995), and a sample CET-4 reading comprehension test. One hundred and two non-English majors in Grade 2007 were taken as subjects and SPSS 13.0 was used for statistical analysis. The results showed that a significant correlation existed between breadth of vocabulary knowledge and depth of vocabulary knowledge (r = 0. 260^* ), that breadth of vocabulary knowledge of the subjects was in a highly significant or a significant correlation with fast reading or in-depth reading, r being 0. 317^* * or 0. 231^* , respectively, and that the correlation of depth of vocabulary knowledge with either fast reading or in-depth reading was non-significant statistically. These results highlight the importance of breadth of vocabulary and give enlightenment to vocabulary teaching.
