从ＮＡＳＡ和ＭＩＴＬｉｎｃｏｌｎ实验室两大研究机构出发来探索美国激光通信的发展趋势，主要介绍了以ＬＣＤＳ系统为例的美国激光通信系统的关键技术和单元部件，对光、机、电系统的综合处理，以及各系统的优化方法和主要指标。
