本文先介绍了日志及日志服务器的基本概念，syslog的工作原理，最后介绍了如何利用一台主机搭建基于syslog的日志管理服务器，以实现对于跨操作系统主机以及专用网络设备日志的集中统一管理。

This article first introduce the best concept of log and log server,work element of syslog.Finally we present how to use syslog to establish a log server with a pc based on Linux OS,then we can use this server to centralize the management of log on different operation system and special network device such as switch and router.
