Lu Yao:Building Literary Success on Editorship

路遥的编辑生涯可以分为两个时期:"山花时期"是1971年至1973年,路遥编辑诗集《延安山花》和文学报纸《山花》,它们都产生于文革期间文艺创作非常活跃的延川县;"延河时期"是1976年至1982年,路遥因文学才华的出众被分配至《延河》文学月刊担任小说编辑。1982年路遥成为专业作家。路遥的编辑工作与文学创作互相促进,使路遥成长为全国知名作家。

Lu Yao＇s career as an editor can be divided into two periods： （1） 1971 - 1973, known as the ＂mountain-flower＂ period, when he was editor of the poetry anthology Mountain Flowers of Yan＇ an and the literary newspaper Mountain Flowers, both of which were published in Yanchuan, a county that was rather active in literature during the ＂Cultural Revolution＂ （ 1966 - 1976） ; （2） 1976 - 1982, known as the ＂Yan- he-River＂ period, during which he was designated as the fiction editor of the literary monthly Yanhe River thanks to his outstanding literary talent. Then the year of 1982 witnessed him become a professional writer. By building his writing on his editorship, Lu finally made himself a renowned writer across the country.
