Comparisons between parts of two English versions of "the Analects of Confucius"

本文以《论语》的两种英语译文为媒体,通过比较的方法,体会两种译文的特色和风格,鉴别两种译文的优点和缺陷。通过大量类似的比较研究,能够使我们总结出在古文翻译方面需要遵循的原则,探索出更好的译法。

On the basis of two English versions of ＂the Analects of Confucius＂ and by comparison,this paper analyzes the styles and distinguishing features of the two,and their strengths and weaknesses.Doing a great deal of similar research enables us to sum up the rules we need to follow when we translate classical works,and explore better translating methods.
