《红楼梦》两个英译本中文化内容的描述性研究

A Descriptive Study of Culture in Two English Versions of Hong Lou Meng

通过个案描述与理论分析的结合,对宏观视域下翻译目的与微观视域下的行文措辞进行研究,分析功能理论对文学翻译的指导作用。一方面,以对比和分析《红楼梦》两个英译本来探究每位译者所采用的具体翻译策略。另一方面,结合目的论的理论观点,深入分析译者的翻译策略和翻译目的间的关系。《红楼梦》的解码过程体现了不同译者在特定文化氛围和社会历史环境中,受不同翻译目的驱使的译风、译貌等典型性特征。

By analyzing translation purpose and diction from both macro and micro points of view, it analyzes the guiding significance of functional theory by case and theoretical study, which aims to find each translator＇s translation strategy through comparing two English versions of Hong Lou Meng on one hand, and on the other hand, tries to explore the relationship between translation purpose and translation strategies from the perspective of skopos theory. The process of decoding Hong Lou Meng represents translators＇ typical translation properties because of translation aims in special culture and history.
