A Brief Discussion on the Open-shelf Management in College Library

目前,高校图书馆开架借阅大势所趋,开架制的作用与功效也得到了广泛的认可,但是开架管理也给高校图书馆带来一些困扰。因此,高校图书馆要加强对读者的入馆宣传教育工作,培养读者规范使用代书板,并制定严格的开架管理规章制度,在增设现代化设备、确保馆藏图书安全的同时,深化内部管理、提高馆员素质。

Facts prove that the open-shelf system of college library is the general trend of development. The function and social effects of open-shelf system are approved, but it has brought some problems to the college library. This paper sets forth several ways to strengthen the open-shelf management in college library, such as to strengthen the readers＇ education and lead them correctly, to establish and amplify ＂board substituted for books＂ system, to formulate the strict rules and regulations, to offer modern equipments, to ensure the security of collections of books, to de- epen the internal management, and also to improve the quality of assistants.
