魏晋时期,在玄学兴盛的两百余年中,作为一种主流的社会思潮席卷当时社会文化的方方面面,同样对魏晋音乐也产生着巨大的影响。在玄学思潮浸润下,魏晋音乐以道家思想为旨归,强调音乐"和"的本质特征,造就了一代音乐作曲、演奏名家群体,凸显充满玄学风格的经典音乐作品的独特艺术个性,同时也反映出魏晋玄学思辨对构建和发展中国古代美学理论作出的弥足珍贵的贡献。

During more than two hundred years in the Wei and Jin Dynasties, metaphysics had a great influence on all the aspects of the social culture as a prevailing philosophical thought. Meanwhile, it also has a significant in- fluence on the music of the Wei and Jin Dynasties. With the great impact of the metaphysical thoughts, the music of the Wei and Jin Dynasties focused on the Taoism and emphasized the characteristics of ＂harmony＂ of music. It has created a generation of music composers and performer with a number of unique and classic musical works with met- aphysical style. On the other hand, it also reflected the valuable contribution of the metaphysical thoughts of the Wei and Jin Dynasties on the construction and development of ancient Chinese art theories.
