"经世致用"的中国古代社会文化思想,奠定了中国传统数学的实用主义基调。"明理之儒"和"妖妄之术"等因素造成中国传统数学本身存在严重缺陷。数学语言始终囿于汉语言的范围,阻碍了中国传统数学的进步。文章主要在中国古代社会文化的广阔背景下对中国传统数学进行理性反思。

The culture and thought which ＂attained practical use after the world＂ in ancient Chinese society laid a foudation on the use of pacticalism in the teaching of Chinese traditional maths. ＂Confucian of the bright principle＂ and ＂evil technique＂ led to the great defect in iteslf. Therefore, mathematical language which was under the control of Chinese language hindered the improvement of Chinese traditional maths. The paper has made a reconsideration on Chinese traditional maths from the aspect of Chinese ancient social and cultural background.
