Cultural relics in Sanxingdui Burial Pits were produced around 800 BC, the Du-Yu time of ancient Shu. Yu-fu was the totem of ancient elan living around water. The legend of Yu-fu kingdom appeared earlier than Du-Yu time, which can be traced in the east of Sichuan, with no involvement in Sanxindui civilization. Du-Yu was the ancient southwest clan, whose culture had western Asia origins. The combination of native Du-Yu culture and foreign culture created Sanxindui culture, but it finally extinguished due to its incompatibility to Ba culture--the successor of ancient Shu civilization after assimilating Qin and Chu cultures.
