On Lack of Prime Mover——Briefly analyzing three reasons of Confucianism independent from others

儒学作为传统农业文明的产物,受小农经济的制约,从其本质上来说与现代性是背道而驰的。它在圣学的投影下,对本族文化的认同,对异质文化的拒斥和做了不恰当的裁剪,都在一定程度上阻碍了与现代化乃至现代性的接轨。

Confucianism, as a product of traditional agricultural civilization, being constrained by small peasant economy, substantially runs counter with the modernity. Owing to the influence of sacred knowledge, the approval of its ethnic culture, and the rejection of different cultures and inappropriate cutting out, to some extent, these hindered its integration with modernity and modernization.
