译者的翻译活动的动机再分析

本文从心理学角度分析译者的翻译活动的动机,认为译者的翻译活动既有内在动力,又有外在诱因。笔者从译者对文本的选择角度来探求内在动力;从译语文化的社会需要方面来考察外在诱因。内在动力和外在诱因不是孤立起作用的,译者的翻译活动是译者内在需要和社会需要的相互融合、共同作用的结果。

This essay makes an analysis of the translator＇s motivation for translation from the angle of psychology. It points out that there are two reasons why translation is made---the inner motive and the outer cause. This essay studies the inner motive in terms of the selection of original works and researches into the outer cause in terms of the social needs of the target culture. In addition, the inner motive and the outer cause can not work independently. Translation made by a translator is the result of the interaction between the inner motive and the outer cause.
