Qian Sanqiang (1913~1992),an eminent nuclear scientist in China and a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences,was born in Shaoxing,Zhejiang Province. He was the son of the famous Chinese scholar Qian Xuantong,and was brought up in Beijing. In the fall of 1932,Qian was admitted to Tsinghua University after finishing his preparatory courses in Peking University.
