食管癌的发生与某些凋亡相关基因的表达密切相关。研究发现，survivin在食管癌细胞中呈高表达，而在正常组织中低表达甚至不表达，与食管癌的发生、发展、诊断及预后等密切相关。研究survivin基因表达与食管癌的关系具有重要意义。

The occurrence of esophageal cancer is closely related to some apoptosis-related gene expression. Many researches demonstrate that the expression of survivin is abnormal in esophageal cancer cells, which is low in normal tissues. It is significantly related to the genesis,progression, diagnosis and prognosis of esophageal carcinoma. Therefore, research on relationship between esophageal cancer and survivin gene expression is of great significance.
