This paper provides an account about the practice and explorative work done by Xiaotun Coal Mine of Jizhong Energy Fengfeng Group in implementing waste rock based packing for mining coal under village on the surface. This provides a novel solution to large-scaled coal mining operation of the coal in large areas under villages,railway lines and water bodies on the surface.
