Japan's Economic Revival:Focus on New Industry

9月中旬，“亚洲创新论坛”在位于东京六本木山的日本新地标——森大厦举办。从54楼会场入口旁的透明幕墙望向远方，老地标——暗红色东京塔——静默耸立。

In mid September,the'Asian Innovation Forum 2009'was held at Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills,Japan,a brand-new landmark of the nation. During the forum,the 72-year-old Nobuyuki Idei,former Chairman and Group Chief Executive of Sony,founder and current CEO of Quantum Leap Corporation(the hosting company of this forum),brought up his new vision: aiming at new industries to realize Japan's second rise.'For Japan,the year 2009 might be the real beginning of the 21st century.The people chose the Democratic Party because they crave change.'He also thought that the most pressing task for the Hatoyama administration was to create a grand vision for the country.'It's hard to build a vision in democratic countries,but strategic foresight is vital.'Innovation,industry,and China, were the catch words of this forum.
