Social Research about HIV/AIDS in China During 20 Years

过去20年来,中国社会科学界尤其是社会学和人类学领域,围绕着艾滋病的起源、后果和防控做了大量的研究。在艾滋病的起源问题上,学者比较关注滋病的社会文化根源、传播途径以及弱势群体的易感性;在艾滋病的后果问题上,一些人探讨了艾滋病对宏观经济和家庭经济的影响,另一些人考察了艾滋病感染者及其家庭所遭受的社会歧视;在艾滋病的防控方面,学者们在进行政策倡导的同时,普遍重视艾滋病感染者的社会支持、艾滋病防治的文化敏感性以及NGO的作用。中国艾滋病的社会科学研究已经取得了巨大进展,未来的工作应该更加关注感染者的主体性和社会适应以及高危群体的亚文化。

Over the last two decades,Chinese social scientists have published hundreds of papers on the social aspects of HIV/AIDS in Chinese core journals.The essay makes a review of a number of papers written by anthropologists and sociologists in order to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the work.The comments will follow a pathway starting with papers about the genesis and spread of HIV and AIDS,then moving to publications about the social and economic consequences,before turning to prevention and care.Chinese social scientists have significantly contributed to and made great progress in advancing our understandings of HIV and AIDS,but future work should pay attention to the subjectivity and social adaptation of PLWHA as well as the sub-cultures of high-risk groups.
