摘要
杜威的光谱隐喻为美学研究提供了一种新的视角。借助这个视角,美学研究中的分类概念放弃对本质的追求,而恢复它们自身的形容词特性。这种恢复彰显了行动的重要意义,美学研究所讨论的感觉无非是行动的前哨。杜威所讨论的经验从"做"或者"行动"开始,自我和对象整合并消失在经验之中。作为结果,概念之间、感觉之间以及自我和对象之间的严格区分被拆除,代之而起的是光谱式的辨识、重叠和连续。
Dewey's metaphor of spectrum brings us a new perspective in aesthetic investigations. The concepts of classification abandon the pursuits of essence and renew their own adjectival qualities in virtue of Dewey's metaphor. And this renewal shows the significance of activity. According to Dewey, a particular sense is simply the outpost of an activity. The experience discussed by Dewey begins with action. Self and object are integrated and disappear in experience. As a result, the pigeonholes of concepts, senses as well as self and object are broken. The substitute is the overlapping and continuum just like the spectrum.
